WWII Living History

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Company C, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment will present a free of admission event at the Averasboro Battlefield Museum, 3300 NC Highway 82, Dunn, NC, on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The event will start at 10:30 AM and run throughout the day until 4 PM. Although the re-enactors will not be jumping out of airplanes, it will be an informational event - visitors may interact with them and ask the living historians various questions regarding their particular station.

Living historians will present basic uniforms of the American GI during World War II, weapons display and firing, pathfinder equipment and use, food preparation, and medical equipment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the “greatest generation” and their involvement in World War II. The C/505th Living History Group doing the presentations is considered Carolina’s premier WWII re-enacting organization.
